I suspect that it is one of the last cars imported to the US by BMC. I also suspect that it is one of the few remaining cars of its vintage in the hands of the original owner. I had ordered the car from the dealer, and it arrived in September. t still has the original new car title, and a known history. t has about 60,000 miles on it. It came equipped with factory dual gas tanks, and the factory sump guard. It was made for the US market, and of course is left hand drive. his Mini Magic is a very rare limited edition of the Mini Sprite series. It is almost identical to the Mini Cooper as it has a factory-fitted 1275 engine and power disc brakes, but the interior is more plush and more comfortable than the Cooper. It is a carburetor model and has been upgraded to '90 specs. The Mini is in excellent condition with no rust, dings, or dents. The engine and manual transmission are very strong. All gear changes are smooth and positive--no issues with either. No oil leaks. Good oil pressure. Power brakes and steering function superbly. Both sub-frames and the underbody are in perfect condtion. All tires, exhaust system, and battery have been replaced recently. The interior is totally unmarked, and the car benefits from having a sound-proofing kit installed. Sunroof is totally watertight and is a great addition. 1981 original Mini 1000 HL (high luxury). This red Mini is in absolutely beautiful condition and has very low mileage (37,000). There is no rust on this car, and it has been very well cared for throughout its life. The body is in excellent shape as is the interior; the seats are covered in an attractive plaid fabric. The headliner is like new. All glass, weatherstripping, tires, and underbody of car are in super condition as are the engine bay and trunk area. The engine runs smoothly with no problems as you would expect from a car with this low mileage. The car has a rear fog light and heated rear window. The only fault, which is a common one with Minis, is that the syncromesh is worn on second gear. However, if you change from third gear to second gear slowly at low speeds, it is not noticeable. With this exception, the clutch and transmission operate correctly.
